Cedar Crest has a 21 to 28-day inpatient acute chemical dependency program utilized specifically by Tricare for adolescents and adults.

*Since we are both a hospital and a residential treatment center, adolescents who are in need of a more intense mental health stabilization can be admitted to our acute care hospital and then step down into RTC. Also, if the patient is admitted to our RTC but requires more stabilization than the RTC level of care is suited for, the patient can be admitted to our acute hospital until stabilized.

1.  RTC for Adolescents

Our Residential Treatment Center specializes in providing longer-term treatment for adolescents who have completed acute care inpatient programs and require additional treatment in a 24-hour therapeutic environment, as well as those who have failed to respond effectively in previous placements. Treatment begins with an assessment. Under the direction of a psychiatrist, a multidisciplinary treatment team evaluates each patient and develops a special treatment plan that addresses the patientís needs. The team includes psychologists, social workers, recreational therapists, family therapists, dieticians, psychiatric nurses and teachers.
